This course aims to advance students' knowledge of German-speaking countries and develop their general academic English skills. It is a content-based course that will integrate all four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. | ||||||||||

Students will explore various aspects of German-speaking countries by participating in class activities such as reading articles, listening to news stories, writing short reports, and giving presentations. Real-time lessons will be done using Zoom, and on-demand classes will be given using MyDOC. All course activities will be conducted in English. (Minimum TOEIC score required: 450) |

Students’ primary responsibility before class will be preparing for their presentations. This will require several hours of concentrated work. There will also be other assignments such as summaries which will mostly be completed after class. | ||||||||||
