授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term, twice-a-week required class for first-year students develops a range of English language skills (with an emphasis on oral communication) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. Overall Objectives 1. To give students maximum opportunities to communicate 2. To build student confidence in interpersonal communication 3. To begin to develop the basic study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
This class will be conducted in English, and students are expected to speak in English with the instructor and with their classmates during the class time period. Lessons will alternate between take-home lessons, where students will be given materials to read/watch/listen to in preparation for their "real-time" lesson using Zoom. During the Zoom lessons, students will have the opportunity to ask questions, engage in conversations with their teacher and classmates, and share their take-home work. | ||||||||||
