授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term required class allows second-year students the opportunity to take the initiative and be directly involved in their own learning, as well as the learning of their classmates, by preparing their own presentation and leading subsequent class discussion based on the chosen topic. Overall Objectives 1. To foster student responsibility by involving students more directly in the learning process 2. To teach students how to prepare presentations 3. To give all students the opportunity to give a presentation and lead class discussion |

This course is primarily taught in English. It encourages the development of critical thinking skills using individual, pair and small-group work, employing audiovisual materials and online collaborative tools through mobile devices (i.e. smartphones, tablet PCs, etc.). |

All students are expected to: - Read assigned texts before lesson. - Prepare notes before class in order to actively participate in small group discussions. - Complete writing assignments by the date due. - Review all lesson work. - Be able to participate in classroom discussions. - Set aside 30 minutes for homework and class preparation, more time may be needed for evaluations. - Be ready to present in front of the class. |
