授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term required class teaches second-year students how to read more effectively and then presents them with the opportunity to share their ideas and opinions successfully in group and class discussions while working with topical subjects. Overall Objectives 1. To teach students the skills involved in effective group discussion 2. To improve reading comprehension skills using topical reading material 3. To develop verbal reasoning skills together with the ability and opportunity to communicate their thoughts related to the topics and readings provided |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
Because of Covid-19, we will teach this semester online. I will distribute materials and accept assignments via the porta II site. I plan to host zoom lessons at the regularly scheduled time. We will start the class as a group, and then divide into groups via "breakout rooms". In this way, students can still take part in group discussions as they normally would. For students who do not have access to a reliable internet connection, alternative assignments will be provided. |
