授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
[Please note that this course will be taught via Zoom.] This course is designed to help students generate both a concrete and theoretical understanding of studying abroad. Grounded in recent scholarship in educational and intercultural studies, the course provides students with opportunities to conceptualise their past or future study abroad experience and to develop further their intercultural competence through class activities. Topics to be covered include: goals and motivation; academic challenges; making local friends; discrimination; identity and agency; personal growth; life after study abroad; and Japanese universities in the global context. |

This course is highly recommended to students who have already studied abroad or students who have a keen interest in study abroad. The workload is heavy and comparable to international standards. 【本講義は、原則として英語で行います。教材?資料の約9割は英語、約1割は日本語です。アクティブ?ラーニングの手法を用いますので、活発な授業参加が必須です。リーディング、ライティング、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーションなど、こなさなければならない課題は多いですが、(世界で通用する)高度な学力?英語力を身に着けるための「通過点」として本講義をご利用いただければ幸いです。】 |
