授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	In this course students will develop skills needed for confident and effective group communication -   public speaking - and become familiar with some of the various types of public speaking. Students will be guided to choose suitable topics, research information, edit the information, decide how to present it memorably, and finally make appropriate presentations to an audience. Attention will also be paid to aspects of speaker performance such as getting attention, making eye-contact, voice, pace, posture, using space, and involving the listeners

評価方法 ／Evaluation	There is no final exam. This is a performance course. The teacher's evaluation will be according to the work each student does in preparing and delivering a series of 3 presentations (50%). However, students will also be asked to evaluate each other, and these evaluations will contribute to the final grade (50%)

備考 ／Notes	There is no text for this course, but the teacher will provide information and worksheet papers, so each student will need a clip file. You will need a good Learner's Dictionary, too.
