授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	「英語 I (S)」に示した内容と目標を継承し，さらに発展的な学習を行う．定型言語形式の使用練習においては，自発的な発話場面においても，適切に使用できることを目標とする．また，アウトラインによる内容構成に基づいた プレゼンテーションスキルを学び，アカデミックなテーマに関するプレゼンテーションの練習をする．Provides opportunities to develop extensive oral skills for both accuracy and fluency.  Emphasis is placed on formulaic speech in spontaneous situations as well as formal presentations.  Activities are provided to raise the awareness of organisational appropriateness based on outline planning and to encourage concentrating on the content of the speech/discourse.  Students are expected to make short presentations on academic topics.  The class is taught/participated in English.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	In this class we ... (1) use Manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback. (2) periodically use Zoom or Webex to conduct bi-directional real-time classes. (3) provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group work and peer reviews of oral/written products (4) aim at higher learning efficiency by utilising learning materials distributed in advance in combination with real-time classes.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	各回とも十分な予習?復習を必要とする．また，課題は必ず期限までに提出しなければならない．Requires sufficient review and preview of each class.  Assignments must be submitted before the deadline. 授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意欄追加 English is the means of communication including student to student interaction.  Students’ active commitment to the class as well as sufficient preparations for the topic issues is required.  At the end of the term there will be a pair or small group interview which counts for part of the grade.
