授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	「英語 I (IE)」に引き続き，多様なテーマに関するリーディング?リサーチ?ディスカッションを通して4技能および語彙?文法?リーディングストラテジーの統合的学習を行う．これらを通して宣言的知識が操作的知識に移行することを目的とする．例えば1つの具体的目標は，口頭?筆記双方で所与のテキストのパラフレイズや要約ができることである．この他に，課外活動として多読学習を取り入れ，内在的に動機付けられた英語の読書習慣の形成を図る．Involves integrated learning of English in four skills, vocabulary, grammar, and reading skills with a purpose of converting declarative knowledge to procedural knowledge.  Paraphrasing/summarising of given texts in both speaking and writing is one of the immediate goals.  Along with the main course is extensive reading provided for habit formation of internalised reading motivation.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	受講者同士のコミュニケーションを含め，授業の使用言語は英語とする．十分な予習?復習を前提とし，授業においては受講者の積極的な発言?関与が求められ，その姿勢は成績評価にも反映される．各授業において原則的に第13週に期末試験を行い，結果のフィードバックをその後行う．English is the means of communication including student to student interaction.  Students’ active commitment to the class, with sufficient reviews and previews taken for granted, is vital; their participation will be reflected in the grading.  An in-class term examination is conducted in the 13th week and the result will be fed back in a subsequent class.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	各回とも十分な予習?復習を必要とする．また，課題は必ず期限までに提出しなければならない．Requires sufficient review and preview of each class.  Assignments must be submitted before the deadline.
