授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
This one-semester course is compulsory for first-year students.
Overall Objectives
1. To increase their vocabulary and strategies for grasping meaning of vocabulary in texts
2. To review grammar and cohesive devises
3. To develop basic reading skills and strategies (pre-reading, during reading and after reading strategies)
4. To develop comprehension strategies to understand reading materials without translating them into Japanese
5. To clarify the structure of a paragraph or essay (dependent on the level of the students)

/Teaching method and Attention the course
In this class, pair work and group work will be used often and you are expected to collaborate with others and actively participate in class tasks.
This class will be conducted in ENGLISH ONLY.
Feedback will be provided both from the instructor and peers.
It is your responsibility to download/print out/submit necessary documents on Manaba.

この授業ではManabaを利用し対面授業を基本とします。また、感染拡大などの理由により一部遠隔授業またはzoomによる授業に変更することがあります。
