授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives |
The goal in the Writing Skills III course is to develop students’ writing and critical thinking abilities in English, progressing from production of shorter to longer academic texts, and from writing on familiar topics to writing about more complex and academic ones. Overall Objectives 1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ essay 2. To help students understand various patterns of essay organization 3. To help students plan essays 4. To help students revise and edit their essays 5. To help students use a variety of sources 6. To help students develop computer literacy skills 7. To introduce the basics of referencing and creating a bibliography (MLA or APA styles) |

※In the Spring term this course will be "ON DEMAND". You will receive assignments either on PorTA II or Manaba. There will be no class meetings on campus. Assignments must been turned in on time along with any questions you wish to ask me. Your paragraphs/essays will be returned to you with comments from me in order for you to rewrite your work. |
