授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This course is intended as a broad-based introduction to various forms of creative writing, such as short fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Students are also given an opportunity to write in these genres and explore their creative strengths. The class is usually comprised of technique and style discussions, reading assignments and writing exercises. | ||||||||||

Every three week cycle, one concept from creative writing will be focused on (creativity, fiction, nonfiction, poetry). The first week we will read and analyze assigned example texts of the genre. The second week, we will learn and consider how to create and write in the genre. The third week, we will create our own writings. Note that the teaching method, text material covered, and assessment style may change due to the demands of the ongoing health situation. Updated and more detailed information will be provided in the first class or in a message prior to the first class. | ||||||||||

Instructions and weekly assignments will be given and collected on Porta II and/or Manaba. Students will be required to complete the assigned reading and homework assignments each week before participating in class. These assignments will be due the day before class on Porta II and/or Manaba. | ||||||||||
