授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term, twice-a-week required class for first-year students develops a range of English language skills (with an emphasis on oral communication) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. Overall Objectives 1. To give students maximum opportunities to communicate 2. To build student confidence in interpersonal communication 3. To begin to develop the basic study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution This course focuses on improving students’ "listening" and "speaking," as stated in DP 2. Overall objectives are for them to acquire the basics of "oral receptive skills and productive skills," as stated in the CP. |

Communicative classes that will be face-to-face unless otherwise specified or necessary - online classes held via Zoom and Manaba Whether face-to-face or online, students need to interact with each other in both pair- and group-work through a variety of communicative tasks and activities Students will also be required to prepare, practice, and deliver short speeches individually Feedback will be given verbally or with rubrics in-class, and out-of-class via Manaba forum threads or Manaba Assignments |
