授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term once-a-week required class helps first-year students to learn how to improve their English language communication skills by introducing the organizational skills necessary to become a competent speaker and writer. Overall Objectives 1. To develop in the students a foundation in the organization skills of speech communication and writing 2. To give students maximum opportunities to develop their speech delivery and writing skills 3. To build student confidence in speech communication in a small as well as a larger group context |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
One chapter from the text will be studied each week. The first part of each class will be used for reading and analysis of the text material. This will be followed by reviewing and checking the homework assignments together. For the remainder of the class students will be given an in-class exercise to complete. Note that the teaching method, text material covered, and assessment style may change due to the demands of the ongoing health situation.
