授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
This one-term, twice-a-week required class helps first-year students learn how to improve their English language communication skills by introducing the organizational skills necessary to become a more competent speaker and writer.
Overall Objectives
1. To help students to develop a basic knowledge of the skills required for organizing a speech and developing speech writing skills
2. To give students maximum opportunities to develop their speech delivery and speech writing skills
3. To build student confidence in speech communication in small and larger group contexts
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
Course lectures and materials will all be conducted in English. It is expected that student participation, assignments and so on will also be conducted in English. Tell me if you are having problems.
There will be interactive lectures, pair and group work activities to develop skills for giving different types of speeches in this class.

Students are expected to spend one hour after each class reviewing and completing tasks for the next class. These will include research/reading, note-taking, speech preparation work, and group assignments.
