授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This is a one semester only course. You will study how to write good quality academic essays of between 800 ~ 1000 words using internet research. You will also learn how to plan the essay, and how to write a bibliography at the end of the essay. Attendance is very important on this course because new important skills will be taught every class. This course focuses on improving students’ "writing" skills, as stated in DP 2. It helps students obtain "comprehensive English proficiency" and to acquire "the ability to express various ideas and issues in correct English written form," as stated in the CP. Attendance policy: 4 absences = fail the course Up to 15 minutes after the bell = 1 late 3 lates = 1 absence |

Class 1 : classroom Class 2 - 14 : Online zoom . Materials including Zoom invitation will be sent a few days before the class to your email address Technique handouts sent before or after class (depends on the technique we are studying) to your email address by email Computer skills with a PC (formatting, internet research, website evaluation etc ) Brainstorming with partners for ideas Editing for content, accuracy, formatting etc. Feedback will be given by written comments on drafts by email |

Before class: put all technique handouts in a file, study them very carefully Time : case by case with the technique (some are simple, some are difficult) After class : if you have a problem with the technique, ask the teacher by email to help you understand, read carefully again the model answers time : case by case with the problem |
