授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives |
□Content: Students will read extracts from a variety of novels and essays by George Orwell, learn from the model of his lucid prose, and discuss themes such as poverty, class, imperialism, war, nostalgia, totalitarianism, and mechanisation. □Reading & Discussion ?read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities ?express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Writing & Presentations ?write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (700-1,000 words + bibliography) ?make a visually aided presentation of the paper Class is taught and participated in English. |

Each class shall begin with a short lecture introducing a theme. This will be followed by group work, in which students compare and discuss their prepared answers, Finally, the teacher will go through the answers with the whole class. | ||||||||||

Read textbook units or other assigned readings and complete all assignments before the beginning of the following class. Students are also expected to work on their research paper throughout the term. | ||||||||||
