授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
Overall Objectives 1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ paragraph 2. To learn how to properly format a typed paragraph 3. To help students write about themselves and their experiences 4. To help students write clear, coherent and properly-structured paragraphs 5. To help students analyze and revise their writing 6. To help students become familiar with computer literacy and the use of Microsoft Word or Googledocs to create well-formatted documents. This course focuses on improving students’ "vocabulary," "grammar" and "writing" skills, as stated in DP 2. Overall objectives are for students to acquire the basics of "written productive skills," as stated in the CP. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
In first half hour of each class students will do free journal writing for fluency building. This will be followed by a lesson addressing an aspect of academic writing. Following the lesson, students will work on practice exercises and complete in-class assignments. Feedback for written assignments and drafts will be given in with notes or comments on Google docs. Note that the teaching method, text material covered, and assessment style may change due to the demand of the ongoing health situation. Updated and more detailed information will be provided in the first class. All classes will be held on campus in face to face classroom meetings. |
