授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	Students continue to practice writing unified, coherent paragraphs, which are the basic units of composition common to academic, business, professional, and general-purpose writing in English. Developing fluency and well-structured paragraphs is the main focus of this course However, students in Group C should also practice writing for accuracy at the same time. Overall Objectives 1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ paragraph 2. To learn how to properly format a typed paragraph 3. To help students write about themselves and their experiences 4. To help students write clear, coherent and properly-structured paragraphs 5. To help students analyze and revise their writing 6. To help students become familiar with computer literacy and the use of Microsoft Word or Googledocs to create well-formatted documents.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	The class will consist of three parts: lecture, individual writing and peer review. The lecture will cover writing and assignment goals. The individual writing will include both in class and out of class writing assignments. The peer review will include reading and critiquing another student's writing. Students are strongly encouraged to bring a wi-fi capable laptop or writing tablet to each class. Students will be expected to submit writing assignments via manaba before each class deadline.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	All students are expected to: - Review and prepare for the class. - Complete writing assignments by the date due. - Review all lesson work. - Set aside 30 minutes for homework and class preparation, more time may be needed for evaluations. - Provide feedback to their peers on their written work.

評価方法 ／Evaluation	20% class participation 80% writing assignments.  Each writing assignment will be graded and will receive the instructor's comments on the positive and negative points.
