In the this semester, the main focus of the class will be how to use citations and sources to help essays become more academic in their structure. The class will be interactive and require students to work in groups to discuss tasks related to writing skills. Students will receive model examples of the discussion topics which they should use for revision outside of class. After groupwork has been completed, supplementary homework activities will be set in order to consolidate what is covered in each class. Students will be required to submit a mid-term essay and a final essay using the information that has been practiced in class-work. All essay assignments will be returned with individual feedback so that students can rewrite their essays based on the comments provided. Depending on circumstances, classes may be conducted on Zoom and recorded and uploaded to manaba every week. The class content and teaching methods will be exactly the same as a regular campus based class. | ||||||||||
