授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This one-term, once-a-week required class for first-year students develops a range of English language skills (with an emphasis on oral communication) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. There is no required text. All materials will be provided in class. Overall Objectives 1.To give students maximum opportunities to communicate 2. To build student confidence in interpersonal communication 3. To develop the basic study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution |

Discussion of cultural and cross-cultural issues, based on topics presented in videos, will help you develop your critical thinking, will help you speak more fluently, and will help you think about the world more widely. To accomplish these goals, you will do a lot of speaking. Another benefit of class is that you can share and participate into the learning adventures of the other students. | ||||||||||
