授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	The goal in the Writing Skills III course is to develop students’ writing and critical thinking abilities in English, progressing from production of shorter to longer academic texts, and from writing on familiar topics to writing about more complex and academic ones. Overall Objectives 1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ essay 2. To help students understand various patterns of essay organization 3. To help students plan essays 4. To help students revise and edit their essays 5. To help students use a variety of sources 6. To help students develop computer literacy skills 7. To introduce the basics of referencing and creating a bibliography (MLA or APA styles)
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	?In this class, students will examine the contents of the textbook and deepen their knowledge of writing through discussion. ?Students will complete three units during the spring semester. ?At the end of each unit, students will engage in an in-class writing activity.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Before Study: Read the specified portion of the textbook and make a vocabulary list. (1 hour) After Study: Review the assignments done in class. (1 hour)
