授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
The purpose of this course is to help first-year Department of English students acquire the basic study skills—and independent learning mindset—necessary to achieve academic success at the university. Lessons are designed not only to improve critical thinking, written and oral expression skills, but also to enable students to effectively utilize a variety of technologies and media in their studies.

In the fall semester, students will create and deliver an original research presentation. In the process, they will learn to select a topic of manageable scope in line with their interests; learn how to search, locate and retrieve references via the Library’s online database; evaluate and outline information that has been gathered; create a slide show; apply citations; learn and practice the skills of presentation.

本科目の履修を通じて、学生は英語学科の学位授与方針(DP)と教育課程の編成?実施方法(CP)を理解し、卒業までの学修計画を明確化することが期待される。
