授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This course focuses on improving students' fundamental presentation skills by focusing on their physical message, visual message, as well as content/ presentation organizational skills. This is a one-term, once a week, required course. Overall Objectives: 1. To give students practical experience in utilizing their own physical message by emphasizing the importance of eye contact, posture, gestures, voice volume, voice inflection, and facial expressions when giving a presentation and facing an audience. 2. To give students experience in using visual representation within their presentation, with special emphasis on using charts and/ or graphs. 3. To build student confidence in presentation communication in large and small contexts. 4. To help students develop a basic knowledge of organizing a presentation and developing presentation skills. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
One focus topic/skill will be studied each week. The first part of each class will be used for introduction, explanation and exploration. This will be followed by relevant application of skills to tasks. Updated and more detailed information will be provided in the first class. Feedback will be provided by a score and comments for each written and/or presentation assignment given during the course. Must have a PC with access to the internet, Microsoft Word/PowerPoint for every lesson throughout the course. |

Students should prepare before each lesson by completing assigned homework / tasks (30-60 minutes). Students should review lesson notes after each lesson and ensure all classwork is complete (30-60 minutes). | ||||||||||
