授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
Overall Objectives:
1. To give students practical experience in utilizing their own physical message by
emphasizing the importance of eye contact, posture, gestures, voice volume, voice
inflection, and facial expressions* when giving a presentation and facing an audience.
2. To give students experience in using visual representation within their presentation, with
special emphasis on using charts and/ or graphs.
3. To build student confidence in speech communication in large and small contexts.
4. To help students develop a basic knowledge of organizing a speech and developing
speech writing skills.

/Teaching method and Attention the course
This course focuses on improving students' fundamental presentation skills by focusing on
their physical message, visual message, as well as content/ speech organizational skills.
This one term, once a week, required course.

There is no textbook for this course. Course material will be presented during instruction and as handouts, pdfs, etc.

Students will practice and prepare for presentations outside of the class time. This can include, but is not limited to: creating note cards for speeches, building visuals using tools such as microsoft powerpoint, google slides, or canva, practicing for speech presentations, doing research, as well as reviewing class notes and other class informatio
