授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This course will build on the skills developed during the first semester and introduce new reading, writing and speaking skills, topics, and essay types based on Units 5 -8 in the textbook. There will also be an introduction to APA citation and reference skills and opportunities to practice these skills which be  very important for students in their second year courses.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	This is a student-centered class and students will gradually develop confidence as they learn to work in pairs and groups to perform tasks set by the instructor. These tasks will include watching videos, working on the tasks in the textbook and additional materials and providing feedback to each other during the essay writing writing tasks. I welcome your own ideas about the topics.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Students are expected to work on acquiring the vocabulary introduced in class and review the materials. If preparation for the next class is assigned students are expected to do it. Students are expected to improve their use of computers by using Dokkyo University support facilities.
