授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
The aims of this course are to promote critical thinking and to have extensive discussion about a variety of interesting and important contemporary issues. Students will learn the skills necessary for effective Group Discussions Furthermore, students will be taught how to prepare and lead a class presentation/discussion.

The typical class will consist of small group discussions and presentations to build vocabulary and general English skills. Students will be required to study the material provided by the instructor.

An eagerness to speak English and take responsibility for their own learning will be a bonus.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
In this class we will study a portion of the selected material in each lesson. The first part of class will be used to present the material, analyze it and discuss it. Then, we will review and check homework. The remainder of the class will be used to complete in-class assignments.

Read and listen to the conversation for each unit before class. After each class, students must review and study the vocabulary section for that unit.
