授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This course is designed for you. The main theme is “creative writing”. However, the class is set up to provide a good deal of freedom for the students to work in any form they wish. The students can write in academic style if they would like more practice doing so. Also, they can explore various creative styles including poetry, screenplay, and narrative writing. If you want to practice writing with AI programs (like ChatGPT) we can work with skills that can be useful for your future career. You can even write songs if you like. All the writing is shared and discussed in workshops with input from the peers in the class as well as analysis from the teacher. The focus of the class is to develop writing forms and expression of ideas in natural English. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
This class is designed to influence learner autonomy. The material should be examined before writing starts. Students are encouraged to self-direct by developing the focus of their essays or individual writing styles. The students not only practice with their chosen forms of writing but also give scores reflecting personal evaluations of their own work. Workshop classes will be when we will discuss each other's writing. Feedback from other students is very important for this class. Attendance in the workshop sessions is mandatory, as is participation in giving actionable feedback online to other students' writings. The teacher will also give feedback during the workshop sessions. Classes are planned to be face to face from the first session, so please attend class on the first day in the classroom. |
