授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
The purpose of this course is to develop students’ English communication skills with which they will be able to express their thoughts and opinions clearly and confidently about familiar topics and social issues and understand those of others accurately. They are also expected to understand and use a variety of communication structures and strategies appropriately to facilitate mutual understanding and to maintain the flow of conversation. Furthermore, they are expected to gain the knowledge about foreign cultures and customs and improve listening skills by watching videos of the textbook. | ||||||||||

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
?Lessons are held face-to-face in the classroom. ?You will engage in a variety of communication activities and tasks with your classmates in pairs and groups in class and give a short presentation several times throughout the course. ?You will take the final test (a conversation test) at the end of the course. ?The content of class assignments and how you will obtain feedback on them will be explained at the beginning of the course. ?Lessons are basically conducted in English, but Japanese might be used when necessary. Students are expected to use English as much as they can in class. |
