This course will take students from paragraph structuring to essay writing through a process approach. Areas covered will include generating ideas, organizing, drafting, reviewing In addition to regular homework assignments, students will be expected to produce a number of reports on subjects of their own choosing. Regular use of an electronic dictionary and access to a computer to type and upload completed writing assignments are essential |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
Depending on the situation concerning the coronavirus in spring, this class is intended to be taught face-to-face on campus, with writing & grammar exercise completed during lesson time, while report assignments are set as homework. However, if campus classes are not possible, this course will be taught online on-demand. Various writing skills will be covered week by week, using the text book. Relevant grammatical patterns will also be practiced in preparation for the subsequent report. Students will be free to choose their own topics on which to write, and will be able to brainstorm ideas & supporting points, and construct an outline, in preparation. However, the report will be completed as homework and be expected to be printed and uploaded before the deadline. |
