□Content The purpose of this course is to allow the students to engage in and explore a variety of current issues in society □Reading & Discussion ?read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities ?express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Writing & Presentations ?write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (600-900 words + bibliography) ?make a visually aided presentation of the paper Class is taught and participated in English. |

This is a dynamic class, and the students are expected to communicate in English at all times. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion through pair and group work. All teaching handouts will be available on manaba. Students, therefore, must be sure to have printed out all the relevant handouts beforehand and remember to bring them to each class. Please note that the syllabus is subject to adjustments and change depending on students' level, interests and progress made. |
