授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
□Content This English course aims to improve students’ writing and presentation skills while learning about World Englishes, i.e., the diversity of English, to understand what is vital for effective international communication. Students will be required to write a research paper and give a visually-aided presentation. At the end of this course, students: - can write a well-structured and persuasive research paper, - can give a visually-aided presentation persuasively, - can understand the roles of English as a tool used for global communication, - and will respect the diversity of World Englishes. □Reading & Discussion ?read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities ?express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Writing & Presentations ?write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (600-900 words + bibliography) ?make a visually aided presentation of the paper Class is taught and participated in English. |
