授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
This course aims to develop students’ ability to comprehend academic lectures, in addition to interviews and discussions, from a variety of different fields. In order to accomplish this, students will build their academic vocabulary, practice effective note-taking strategies, learn about how lectures are typically organized, and develop their critical thinking skills. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
This course will be conducted in-person in the classroom. Students will spend the majority of time in class doing listening activities, but activities that aim to build other skills such as writing and speaking will also be undertaken. Students will also use a Learning Management System (LMS) such as MyDOC or manaba to download and upload assignments. Students will also be able to receive feedback on their assignments on the LMS. |

Students can expect to spend approximately 1 hour per week doing pre- and post-listening assignments. Assignments will be submitted in class or to the LMS. If students are absent, it is their responsibility to check if there were any assignments and complete them by the same deadline as other students. |

Class participation (15%), assignments (35%), final exam (50%). 原則として4回以上欠席した学生は成績評価対象とならない。 |
