This course aims to help students increase their language skills, especially listening and speaking. In addition, it is designed for future language teachers in particular to get hands-on experience using songs and videos in language lessons. Note: if you are not a future teacher, please do not register for this course |

We will discuss readings, participate in model lessons and activities, and teach song- and video-based lessons in small groups, or to the whole class. We will learn to find, collect, and adapt appropriate songs and videos. We will learn how to use materials with current technology. | ||||||||||

Students will read a number of academic articles and essays about teaching with music, songs, and videos. Students will prepare to discuss these articles in class, and/or write reactions to them. Students will prepare activities and practice using them to teach model lessons with their peers. | ||||||||||
