授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
1. Students will learn to consolidate their understanding of what constitues a 'good" essay. 2. Students will plan and organize coherent essays. 3. Students will learn to analyze and edit their own work through peer review. 4. Students will learn to use a variety of academic sources while critically analyzing their validity and relevance. 5. Students will develop their own voice within the framework of an academic writing style, and develop their written fluency. 6. Students will practice using citations and references consisitent with APA guidelines. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 /Teaching method and Attention the course |
This course will be held face to face in the classroom of the campus. The first half of the textbook will be used in the spring semester. Students will practice brainstorming, outlining, editing and revising. Students will practice writing logical and coherence essays. Students will learn how to use quotations, paraphrasing, and how to correctly cite sources for their essays. |
