授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives |
This course builds upon the skills developed in the first semester, further strengthening students' reading comprehension through engaging cultural topics. By analyzing a diverse range of texts, students will continue expanding their vocabulary and deepening their understanding of grammar in context. Additionally, they will refine their ability to recognize and apply logical patterns in academic and persuasive writing. Through guided discussions, students will enhance their ability to articulate complex ideas and engage in more nuanced critical analysis of the themes explored, fostering greater linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness. | ||||||||||

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course |
The course will be conducted in English. Students will receive weekly readings with accompanying comprehension questions. In class, they will review their answers in pairs, engage in thematic discussions in pairs or small groups, and examine key concepts necessary for the next assignment. These activities will be guided by the instructor. All readings will be selected from a variety of articles. |

事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study |
Students will complete the assigned readings and answer targeted questions designed to enhance both their language proficiency and understanding of the subject matter. They will also be expected to come prepared to discuss topics based on the assigned questions. Twice during the semester, students will work in teams to deliver a presentation designed to deepen their understanding of the cultural themes explored in class. |
