授業の目的?内容 /Course Objectives |
Media English I is a one-term, semi-elective course for second-year and up students whose English is at least at an intermediate level. Media English II is a more advanced course and intermediate students are advised to take Media English I beforehand. Both courses focus on improving students’ listening and reading skills and their competence to think critically and hold discussions in English, without using Japanese (as stated in DP 2.) Classes are designed to help students achieve the following objectives: • to obtain comprehensive English proficiency (as stated in the CP) • to expand knowledge about topical issues such as gender, race, immigration, and prejudice • to deepen understanding about these issues’ political, historical, and cultural contexts |
