In this class, we will develop one of your most important English communication skills: speaking. This course will focus on the strategies and key expressions you need to use English in academic settings. Class time will be spent on speaking activities to help you build confidence as a speaker of English. 経済学部クラス指定科目です。この科目では、英語コミュニケーションの基本となるスピーキングを学びます。大学生として必要なコミュニケーションの方略(ストラテジー)に注目し、スムーズに会話ができるように学び、また、会話に必要な語彙も学びます。練習を重ねることで、自信もつき、より滑らかに話せるようになります。また、リスニングの力もつきます。 評価は、中間テスト、期末テスト、スピーキングテスト、授業への積極的な参加および宿題に基づいて出されます。 |

事前?事後学修の内容 /Before After Study |
Students will be expected to review the various listening, speaking, and study skills presented in each lesson. (30 minutes) Students will also study the vocabulary words and strategies presented in each lesson and read all course-related handouts from the instructor. (30 minutes) Students will also prepare their own individual presentations and participate in preparing one final group presentation with other students. (4 to 6 hours per term) | ||||||||||

Classroom participation/homework 30% Mid-term project/exam 20% In-class speaking evaluation 20% Final project/exam 30% 原則として4回以上欠席した学生は成績評価対象とならない。 In principle, four or more absences will automatically result in a grade of F. |
