授業の目的?内容
/Course Objectives
This course will cover detailed readings of academic texts and journal articles in various fields related to Second Language Acquisition, Language teaching, and Education more broadly. We will cover two themes in each semester. Readings to provide an overview of each field of research will be provided by the instructor, to provide understanding of theories and topics for in class discussion. Students will then be expected to research and find academic articles related to the same topic, and present those in following classes.

The course will help students in the Masters program to broaden their understanding of issues and theories in Education that are adjacent to their own research area, become comfortable reading academic texts related to education in English, and gain experience discussing and presenting their ideas.

Classes will focus on reading and discussion, with articles or book chapters presented each week.

Students will be provided with reading materials before the class. They will also need to find articles that they present to the group in following classes. Some short writing tasks will be given to review each thematic area of the course.
